Top of the cut flower pops

I realised that the entries to my Higgledy garden giveaway formed a kind of Top of the Pops of cut flowers, so here’s this week’s countdown:

A new entry at number 4: rather winsome, electric blue, ace in a glass of Pimms

…..it’s Borage.
Number 3, just as beautiful after it’s flowered

….Nigella.

Number 2, no real surprise, an old English meadow favourite

Cornflowers (pictured here with zingy wallflowers).

In the top spot, it’s floaty, floofy, delicate, frondy-foliaged and keeps flowering for yonks:

…..Cosmos!

Thanks so much for all the lovely seedy entries. The giveaway winners are (drumroll)

vestachowmein

and Lucy Diamond. Congratulations!

Cosmos are definitely my number one as well. I love that you are using 'floofy' too – one of my most favourite words!
    Best wishes

    Well done winners!
I must sow my cosmos seed next year (missed the boat this summer)
I have such an embarrassingly huge stash of Mr H's seed packets that I daren't enter your prize giveaway in case I won more.
But I would've voted for Cornflower Black Ball, Calendulas and Ammi.

Congratulations to the winners! Cosmos and cornflowers – perfect! And I failed to sow either this year for some reason. Must do better next year! Lucy x
