The final total raised by the Red Nose Day Dolls project is £4070.
Sponsorship is still coming in to our Twittermillion page this morning! I am utterly flabbergasted and feeling slightly emotional after last night’s auction. The total for each doll was as follows:
Poppy: £540
Mac: £710
Blossom: £560
Maisie: £730
Our sponsorship total stands at £1530 (10am Monday 18th).
These are truly phenomenal sums of money. I had secretly hoped for a total of £2000 with this project. To double that amount is beyond stupendous.
Each and every comment, blogpost, virtual cheer, tiny handmade item, word of encouragement, tweet and stitch spurred this project on and made it a reality. This handmade community is something else, truly.
I’ll leave you with an amazing thought:
814 malaria nets can be bought with the money we raised. That’s 814 lives potentially saved.
Thankyou

I think they all have the same faces which I thought was a shame as they could have all had different ones, unlike when they are factory made. Strange that they don't really.

Thanks for your feedback, Anonymous. Luckily your opinion is in the minority and we raised lots of cash for good causes.
