It’s here

Whilst setting up this festive diorama I remembered how fond I was of these little wooden villages. They’re only a few decades old, hardly antiques or even worthy of the ‘v’ word but I admit to both pouncing on them if I see them at a car boot sale and setting up a small village green now and again when the little ones aren’t around. I’m wondering whether the inhabitants of this place (‘Mummy, it’s Christmas land!!!’) are alarmed by the beautifully handmade but slightly menacing oversized bird.

Wishing you a truly lovely and restful Christmas. Have a sparkly one.

We’re just about emerging from a flu-ish thing just in time for the big day here. Phew!
See you on the other side.

Think I'm finally emerging from a flu-ish type thing too much to my hungry family's relief.

    A very merry Christmas, Emma!
I think it is a giant bluebird of happiness; so they're probably quite content that he's watching over them!

They're delightful! They remind me of the wooden buildings in my boys wooden train set. Hope you had a lovely Christmas.

I could have sworn I'd left a comment already … I'm going to look silly if I have and you just haven't moderated it yet, aren't I!

Loving Christmas Land! And so glad you were all over the flu in time for the big day.

And as it's ridiculously late to wish you a Happy Christmas have a Happy New Year instead 😀
