An interruption to our scheduled programming…

A couple of weeks ago Liz Rhodes from BBC Cambridgeshire came to sit and chat with me about my jewellery-making at the bottom of the garden. Then we fired a silver clay button. It was fun. The dog was there too.
Liz’s interview with me was broadcast today and you can hear it on the iplayer here dated 03/11/2011 (available for six days). The interview starts 22 minutes in.

Making Winter week will resume tomorrow and continue until Sunday 6th.

If you’re blogging along and would like to join in this week then the linky list is here.

There’s lots of seasonal loveliness to peep at over in the Making Winter flickr pool.

(The images are of some new designs using vintage dolls’ house doilies and bright 1950s Czech beads. I’ve been making things for Ms Marmite Lover’s Underground Farmer’s Market in Kilburn this coming Saturday).

I thought… did she crochet those tiddly doilys?

Ha! I heard you on the wireless and could picture you at your alchemist's stove (with the dog and the spag bog). It was lovely and so natural.

Clever little beady creations – just right for city slickers!

The spray I was describing is actually called Stiffen Stuff, which is certainly much less risque than the name I was giving it! Do let me know if you'd like to try it out on the doilies, though it looks like the starch worked perfectly. So lovely!

The doilies are very pretty on that necklace, I wondered if you had made them yourself.

I shall listen to you tomorrow I hope.

Congratulations on your Beeb interview – very natural and great for publicity for your business. Do you mind if I ask how Kirsty came knocking on your door for her book?

    Here's to continued success…!

Wonderful interview Emma, it's always lovely to hear the origins of people's art and skills developed over the years. I love your jewels and will be putting your etsy shop under my hubby's nose this Christmas xox

Lovely radio interview 😀 Did you get the 'that doesn't sound like my voice' thing? Home-schooled son and I were once interviewed for a BBC Wales radio programme about alternatives to mainstream education and it was soooo weird hearing how the rest of the world hears me.
Those doily necklaces are brilliant 😀

Just had my porridge breakfast and sat listening to your interview. So lovely to put a voice to the blog 🙂 You sounded calm, happy and totally relaxed – were you? And I got a bit of Tom Jones at the end!
