…I’ve been dreaming up ways to use these beautiful vintage keys,
eldest began to write independently and she announced that her toy monkey had become a girl,
a tiny rainbow appeared on the kitchen wall,
I began a new book,
I took the plunge and decided to start teaching workshops again.
I met withΒ GinaΒ andΒ CeliaΒ for a treat: a sunlit walk at the Anglesey Abbey winter gardens.
All in all it was a good week.
A very good week. I like those kind of weeks. Mine was very similar… talk of workshops, winter walks with friends, I *finished* a book…
Hi Emma
Your last photo is stunning!
What are you going to use your keys for? I have 2 in my bathroom as light pulls – and they look lovely as decorative touches on presents!
It sounds like a wonderful week!
I LOVE those keys…. My son was given a box full of keys when he was little as he was fascinated by them… I can't find them these days so I suspect I de-cluttered at some stage π
It sounds like you had a perfect week Emma! If only I lived nearby — I would LOVE to take a workshop from you. Can't wait to see what you do with those keys!
oooh a lovely week! hurray for workshops, one day I might be able to come!
What a lovely week! Love the last photo, so springlike. π

It sounds like a perfect week and we couldn't have picked a better day for our walk. It was lovely to see you. I'm seriously impressed with that photo. I haven't looked at mine yet.
A silver clay workshop? Might have to come learn from you. Sounds like you had a fun and productive week – In January consider that a great achievement!! Have a lovely weekend to finish it off.xx
Your keys are glorious. Teaching the workshops sounds like a very good idea to me – you're sure to be inundated.
A very good week. It's so thrilling when your children begin to write. I can imagine how pretty that bracelet will look when its finished and love the photograph of the witch hazel tree

I love the keys!! Congrats on teaching workshops again.
The keys are beautiful – I think I would wear them ! maybe hanging from a chain or a belt or something. Looks like it's been a good week for you.
Love all these photos. I have a key much like the largest one which I put on a necklace. Love old keys, so much history.
Sounds like a lovely week. A huge well done to your clever big writing girl – my smaller one won a certificate this week for her writing too!
I was so sorry to have missed you today, but I thought about you all.
Oh such a lot of lovely things in your week. I love the keys, I always wish they could talk and tell of who has held them and which doors they opened.
what a lovely post, a perfect week-hope it continues over the weekend too
love

Sounds like a lovely week! Good luck with the teaching workshops again, though I'm sure you don't need it! Love the keys! π x
Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog just now Emma, so weird as I was literally just reading this post on yours! spooky:) haha! love those keys too, my mum has a big bunch of old keys too which she has decorating the bathroom wall! jenny x
Emma, love the idea of the vintage keys in jewelry. I'm sooooo in "wantie" of a Tiffany key charm! In rose gold, with diamonds.. π
I do jewelry too, would love to have you take a look at my jewelry, there is a link on the top right of my blog. I would like to teach classes too, but currently am selling my things in a gallery in a historic building in the Columbia River Gorge – the Vista House. Kind of fun.
We're kindred spiritds! π

Hi Emma, so glad that you have enjoyed your week – and a milestone too, those first 'proper' written words by your little girl. Sometimes I come across saved scraps penned by my two when they were young, and smile at the memories. x
Sounds like a lovely end to your week! Hope you have a lovely weekend too!
I do love the keys. They fall into my 'same but different' category along with rolling pins, bread boards and scissors. The function is the same but each one has its own idiosyncratic twiddles.
Your week sounds lovely. I hope you went to the picnic.
Beautiful witch hazel. Thank you.
Well done for your wee one on her writing. Lovely world that's opening up to her now.
Your walk sounds very civilised Emma, bet you had a wonderful time.
Have a lovely weekend.

Wow…I could really see that you were moving forward in a big way this week..isn't it funny how sometimes we take tiny steps and other times we leap forward! Leaping Lizards Silverpebble!!
Pah. The child is a genius. Littlest is holding out on the writing, and she is a full year ahead.
A pretty good week, I'd say. We have a lovely set of old rusty keys on our kitchen windowsill and I love them. Those little scraps of writing are such precious things….
Who could resist such an invitation to a picnic?
Beautiful post. Keys to me say 'infinite possibilities' and I have a little collection too. That book, I read it when I was about 17 and living in a bedsit and I still think decades later that it was the most meaningful book I read ~ because of the time and also the potency of it. Rainbows on walls, I spend so much time capturing and making the merans to acquiire them fleetingly…
Sounds like a very good week. Will you show us what you do with the keys – the look lovely. π x
Vintage keys and surprise rainbows – gorgeous!
I love those keys but have never managed to find any – lucky you and I'm sure you will find something brilliant to do with them .
Beautiful pictures especially the last one…the keys are wonderful cant wait to see what you do with them
I love the photo of the little kitchen rainbow and those keys are amazing. The huge one looks like maybe a church door or something similar. I love old keys too. So much history to them. Good luck with finding a use for them.
A very good week and I'm glad you are starting to teach classes again π
Those keys are fabulous! And I love your flowers on the wall. So wish I lived close enough to do a workshop…

It sounds like a wonderful week! Love Little P's writing – so adorable. Does monkey show any signs of minding about his/her sex change? Hope not! L x
