Splash of Colour: Red mosaic

These are polymer clay beads. I didn’t make them and I haven’t used them yet. I might end up keeping them in their own little stash though, just for those colours and for the miniscule flowers. I did make the little earthenware bowl though, many years ago in pre-baby days at a residential pottery course near Flookburgh.

I just had some fun making a quick mosaic with some sumptuous red images from the Flickr pool. For some reason these gorgeous reds make me hungry

Thankyou to Val who tutored me in the ways of Big Huge Labs. The Splashes of Colour will continue until Monday so there’s still time to join in, pop your blog on the linky two posts back and hop over to the other bloggers in the colour party.

There’ll be more mosaics to come…

Yay, you did it – looks lovely!

Have had a slightly traumatic day dealing with a vomiting child – not my own – in the lunch hall at school. They *really* don't pay me enough for that …

Love the bowl, can we see all of it? The red images are great too, very seasonal and very cleverly put together.

You made the bowl? It's beautiful! The beads are lovely too but it was the bowl that caught my eye. Thanks for the very cheery mosaic – off to visit the flickr group and feast my eyes some more!

I love the translucency of your bowl Emma, and the beads really compliment it. Lovely Red mosaic.

I have just put this month's splash of colour on my blog. Late I know, but I had a sudden flash of inspiration!

Thank you for your comment Emma – I am very happy for you to put the image in a mosaic. I guess if you just click on the photo and do a 'Save As' to your own site you can do it from there …. Must find out about setting up a Flickr account – at the moment it is beyond my somewhat limited capabilities!!!

    Have a lovely day.
