Where am I going? I don’t quite know.
Down to the stream where the king cups grow-
Up to the hill where the pine trees blow-
Where am I going? The clouds sail by,
Little ones, baby ones, over the sky,
Where am I going? The shadows pass,
If you were a cloud and sailed up there,
You’d sail on water as blue as air,
And you’d see me here in the fields and say
Where am I going? The high rooks call:
“It’s awful fun to be born at all.”
Where am I going? The ring-doves coo:
If you were a bird and lived on high
You’d lean on the wind when the wind came by
You’d say to the wind when it took you away
Where am I going? I don’t quite know.
What does it matter where people go?
Down to the wood where the bluebells grow-
Beautiful. And one of my favourite poems. Milne's way of looking at the world never pales.
Beautiful and touching. Thank you 🙂

Just perfect! I love that poem.
Thankyou to dear Coffee Lady x
That's a lovely poem and the pictures really capture the mood too.
What a lovely set of photos, you make me feel very nostalgic. One thing I really miss about the UK right now is fields full of bluebells, wild garlic and pretty countryside weeds in abundance under dappled shade.
nice
Awwwwww, just perfect Emma. I loved your photos and the poem. I smiled when I read it was A.A. Milne….I should have guessed.
Thank you for sharing.

Magical poem and magical places. So lovely to see your girls growing up with an openness to all the beauties of nature – you're giving them a life-long gift with such an appreciation x
Beautiful – so touching, thank you for sharing x
I'm not sure why this is so moving, but Milne's gentle nostalgia always gets me.
Charming…. timeless photos of your girls.
*ahem* Pome and piccies in perfick harmony. Both are almost willfully timeless and defiantly happy.
