I’ve written a guest post over at Benjamin Higgledy’s online house. It’s about 2013’s embarrassing cut flower patch debacle and my hopes for this year, including the judicious use of child labour.
have sown things. Some of them I mixed up using a sort of recipe in a lovely bowl (made by Linda). You can read it here if you like.

I had absolutely no idea it was World Naked Gardening Day, I hate it when I miss the important stuff. An opportunity missed indeed. I'll be interested to see how your cuttings patch does this year. We're going to try a few flowers as well.

I hope the child labour acquires a love of gardening too!

Emma, it's grand to see this gardening post just after seeing all those pretty flowered china cups and plates. And embroidery, too.
I enjoyed the Higgledy link as well. I love the idea of mixing up a recipe of seeds. Your tale of last year's compost gives other would be gardeners some sense of the experimentation that is an essential ingredient.
You do make me yearn for a garden! xo

Good luck with this year's effort.
I am sorry to have missed World Naked Gardening Day … on second thoughts, I'm not! It was much too chilly and windy here. 🙂

I like the idea of a cutting garden recipe! Can't wait to see the results, so good luck with it all. I'm sure you'll have a house filled with flowers in no time.

The little Pebbles couldn't come over here and work on my 'cutting' patch could they! *wink*
You've certainly been busy with the digging Emma, if I can recall it was all lawn the last time I came to yours …

Really like your blog – I've added it to my site to follow and recommend to others. Its a really nice idea using silver clay to make shapes inspired so directly from nature x
