Join me on a half day creative workshop on Saturday 1st October to make truly beautiful intricately-detailed silver jewellery, spend time in my flower-filled wildlife garden and the nearby woodland featured in my best selling book The Wild Remedy, learn how creative activity and contact with nature shift our brain chemistry to improve mental health and how to incorporate craft into your day, even during a busy week to alleviate stress and help you work more efficiently. Oh, and there’ll be lots of cake, discount codes for buying your own silver clay, a goody bag and optional nestling time with Annie the dog.
All pieces shown in the images were made b beginners on my previous workshops
Silver clay is a wonderful ceramic originally invented for use in the electronics industry and made from fine particles of silver recycled from old electrical devices along with rice starch and water. On this day long workshop I’ll teach you how to use the clay to turn plant specimens you may have brought with you and ones we’ll gather during the morning into beautiful silver pieces and there’ll be a wide selection of my nature finds to choose from to cast too.
You can read my full bio here and I’ve taught this technique on BBC Countryfile, at The Victoria and Albert museum, Cambridge University Botanic Gardens, Highgrove and Daylesford Farms.
All the materials and tools you’ll need will be provided, including enough silver clay to create 1 sizeable pendant or equivalent smaller pieces.
